IMS Handball ODE

Sunday 5th February saw the latest One Day event in the calendar play out in an incredibly successful fashion. Halls descended on Sir David Wallace for what was one of the most competitive events of the year with many halls performing admirably, notably Faraday and Rigg Rut, who ultimately failed to reach top pool after the preliminary games despite recording impressive wins. Towers and Harry French quickly emerged as two of the teams to beat, so much so that they were pitted against each other for a place in the final, whilst Elvyn Richards faced off against Bill-Mo; all halls with a 100% record thus far. After an incredibly tight game in the former, Towers proceeded to the final after surviving a spirited Harry French comeback, as the latter game saw Bill-Mo comprehensively beat Elvyn Richards. A tight and tactical final match between them and Towers was played out until eventually Bill Mo were crowned Handball 2017 ODE Champions.

Everyone that came on the day behaved exceptionally well and the Exec team are grateful for how smoothly the day ran, long may it continue. Photos from the event have been put up on the Loughborough IMS Facebook page so be sure to check them out. Also, special thanks to the Handball Club for the help on the day, from demonstrations to refereeing and scoring. The full results are as follows;
