Loughborough Sport Tennis runs a popular mini tennis programme offering a great introduction to the sport for 2-11 year olds. Sessions take place in our indoor facility on the University campus and are led by our friendly and enthusiastic coaches.

Sessions cover the ages of 2-11 as seen below:
Tots Tennis 2-5 year-olds:
Learn fundamental co-ordination and balance skills whilst having fun in a tennis environment.
Mini Red 5-8 year-olds: Learn to serve rally and score with a slow ball as well as learning the movement and co-ordination skills needed for tennis.
Mini Orange 8-9 year-olds: Develop a rounded game, learning a range of techniques and tactics. Played on a court just smaller than a full court with a softer ball.
Mini Green 9-10 year-olds: Put techniques and skills into practice on a full size court with a faster ball. Played on a full court with a ball marginally softer than a full yellow ball.
In September we will be introducing the LTA mini tennis awards to our programme. The awards will allow for parents to see how their child is progressing as well as enabling the child to move through their age groups rating band. Thursday tots: 4.30-5.00pm – £30 for 10 week block
Thursday mini red: 5.00-6.00pm – £60 for 10 week block
Thursday mini orange: 4.30-6.00pm – £90 for 10 week block
Thursday mini green: 4.30-6.00pm – £90 for 10 week block
Re-Commencing Saturday 29th April
Saturday tots: 9-9.30 – £30 for 10 week block
Saturday mini red: 9.30-10.30am – £60 for 10 week block
Saturday mini orange: 9.00-10.30am – £90 for 10 week block
Saturday mini green: 9.00-10.30am – £90 for 10 week block
Sessions are led by intern Tom Haslam and assisted by our group of fantastic students coaches all of whom have received fantastic feedback out in our schools programme. Holywell school:
