Intramural Sport (IMS), is a free programme of sports available to all students at Loughborough University. Hall teams compete against each other, all year round and with nearly 60 fixtures per week, there’s always something to get involved in, from all the mainstream sports, to things like archery, 10 pin bowling or canoeing. It’s a great way to get involved in Hall life, meet new people, play some new sports, or all your favourite sports from school.
My Lifestyle is the recreational programme for those who just want to have fun, keep fit and socialise with friends in a relaxed and flexible environment. There are no trials, no judgement of skills, just turn up and participate. We have a huge range of FREE activities on offer every week ranging from Badminton to Boot Camp.
The Volunteer Academy aims to create a workforce of highly skilled volunteers to work on and run projects both within the University as well as Nationally and Internationally. We have opportunities in sports development, events, media, performance sports, sports services and health & fitness. All volunteers will undergo training at the start of the year to ensure that the volunteers we produce have something tangible to take with them following University. The Sports Development Centre are working closely with key partners to create pathways for volunteers into further voluntary work, internships and even paid work.
