When and Where: Every Monday, 6-7pm in New Victory Hall
What to expect: Wheelchair Basketball is the largest and one of the blue ribbon leading Paralympic sports with its roots dating back to the 1940’s. The rules of wheelchair basketball are broadly the same as basketball, the court is the same size, the basket at the same height and the scoring is identical. Players move the ball around the court by passing or dribbling and are required to throw or bounce the ball after every two pushes of the wheels on their chairs. The sport is played competitively by disabled and able bodied players. These sessions are open to everyone; you don’t have to be a wheelchair user. We will provide all of the equipment so just turn up and have a go!
