My Classes

We offer a diverse and packed timetable of fitness classes, from Zumba to Pilates and everything in between. Our friendly instructors will make sure you get the most out of every class no matter what your level, helping you to improve your fitness!

All classes are open to everyone, but places are limited so you will need to book.  To book a class visit our online bookings page, visit one of our sports receptions, or call 01509 226250.

The cost of each class is below:

£1.50 for students, £3.50 for University Staff and £4.00 for General public

If you have signed up to a 3 year gym deal, fitness classes will be included in your membership

Classes for this term start on Monday 7th October 2013.

Body Pump - Book Now

Is a cardio fitness class that involves weights like dumbbell, barbell etc. Each section of the class works a different muscle group and is accompanied by a music track that is designed to get you in the rhythm and inspire your efforts.

Aqua Aerobics - Book Now

Water aerobics or “waterobics” is the performance of aerobic exercise in shallow water such as a swimming pool. In some areas it is known as AquaFit or “aqua aerobics”, and is a type of resistance training.

Pilates is a body conditioning routine that helps build flexibility and long, lean muscles, strength and endurance in the legs, abdominals, arms, hips, and back. It puts emphasis on spinal and pelvic alignment, breathing to relieve stress and allow adequate oxygen flow to muscles, developing a strong core or centre (tones abdominals while strengthening the back), and improving coordination and balance.

Nike Training Club - Book Now

Blitz your body with completely free high-tempo workouts from Nike Training Club. the ultimate all body workout, their classes are designed for you to get fit for free. NTC has various exercises under the instruction of the Nike masters. the classes focus on five fundamental components of sport and fitness: Strength, Cardio, Core, Balance and Flexibility. the idea is that participants will work harder than they would on their own through team motivation, camaraderie and constantly varied training classes each week. These classes are for women only.
