Sue Challis (née Shotton)

Sue is an accomplished weightlifting and powerlifting competitor, winning the British Students Weightlifting title during her time at Loughborough in 1990. However she is best known for representing Great Britain in Trampoline from 1976 – 1998.
She won a host of major titles including becoming 11 times British Ladies Champion, double European Ladies Champion in 1983,1993, culminating in becoming World Ladies Champion in 1984.
Sue won various other World and European medals in individual, synchronised and team events.
Sue served as the Athlete Representative on the FIT Technical Committee and Board, 1996-1998 and qualified as a FIT International Judge in 1997, and became British Trampoline Federation Senior Coach (1998).
Sue is Currently involved in trail running challenges in the Appalachians, CrossFit, and still setting personal bests in powerlifting.
