BSc in PE and Sports Science, 1993

Jason is a double Olympian, representing Great Britain on the hockey field at the Barcelona 1992 and Atlanta 1996 Games. He also appeared at the 1998 World Cup, and won 62 England and 25 Great Britain caps during his career as an international player.

He coached Loughborough Students Men’s Hockey Club for 10 years, taking the First XI from the lowest league in the Midlands to the Premier National League.

Jason is the longest ever serving GB and England men’s hockey coach, having currently served seven years, with a further four years acting as Assistant Coach to both the women’s and men’s national teams. He improved GB and England’s World ranking from 11th to fourth.

Jason coached at the Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008 Olympics.In 2009 his England men’s team won the European Nations Cup, the first major trophy for England Men’s hockey for 90 years. In 2010 England won the silver medal at the Hockey Champions Trophy.

Jason’s coaching has been recognized nationally, and he is an alumni of the exclusive UKSport Elite Coach programme.
