Georgina Harland discovered the sport of modern pentathlon at the age of 17. Within the first year of taking up the sport she won a silver medal at the Junior World Championships.
Georgina competed for 12 years, winning an Olympic bronze medal at the Athens 2004 Games. She also won multiple World and European titles, and was ranked World number 1 for four years. Georgina retired in 2009 but remains close to the Olympic environment.
She works for the British Olympic Association as a Sports Engagement Manager. She is also an Executive Board member of the International Modern Pentathlon Association.
