National Cricket Performance Centre

The National Cricket Performance Centre for the England and Wales Cricket Board houses the world’s most sophisticated, hi-tech indoor cricket facility, and two first class standard grounds. It’s also home to Loughborough Students Cricket Club and Monty Panesar is the University’s most famous cricketing son.

The National Cricket Centre measures approximately 70m x 25m. This includes 6 full-length indoor cricket lanes and a fielding area. Each lane is also supported by the hawk-eye tracking system and video cameras which are used for technical analysis. There are 3 different surfaces: 2 spin nets, 2 medium pace English wicket nets and 2 fast test match level surfaces.

Other facilities/equipment:

The two outdoor pitches consist of the Loughborough Cricket Ground used for all first class matches, MCCU games and international fixtures and the Hazelgrave Cricket Ground used at the same levels. There is also the Graham Dilley Pavillion dedicated to the long serving Cricket coach Graham Dilley whose knowledge and experience helped Loughborough Cricket develop to the level it can now compete. Within the pavillion there are commentator, changing and food preparation facilities and it is situated directly next to the Business School.
