Limited tickets for Loughborough’s new ATP Challenger Tour event are available to purchase this week, with a 48-hour priority window for British Tennis Team Members starting from Wednesday 11 April, 11:00, followed by General Sale on Friday 13, 11:00.
The Loughborough Trophy will be staged at the Loughborough Sport Tennis Centre at Loughborough University from 19 – 27 May. It is the second of two new $100,000 ATP Challenger Tour events to be staged by the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), with the first to be hosted at the Scotstoun Tennis Centre in Glasgow from 28 April – 6 May.
Both tournaments are set to provide quality competition on British soil ahead of the highly anticipated grass court season. The events will be played on indoor hard court, featuring a 32 singles qualifying draw followed by a 32 singles main draw, as well as a 16 pair doubles draw.
The LTA today announced the player entry list for Glasgow’s new ATP Challenger Tour event, with the entry list for the Loughborough Trophy to be released on Tuesday 1 May, and qualifying and main draw wild cards to be announced closer to the start of the tournament. Players will be able to enter the event up until Monday 30 April.
Oliver Scadgell, LTA Director of Major Events and Competitions said:
“We are delighted to host one of the LTA’s new ATP Challenger events in Loughborough this year. It will provide more match experience for both British and international players ahead of the grass court season, whilst also creating more opportunities for spectators across the country to watch world-class tennis. We hope fans secure their seats now to enjoy the action at this exciting new event.”
Tickets for the qualifying weekend will be free and main draw action will be available from £10 per ticket.*
Fans will have the opportunity to sign up for British Tennis Team Membership by 23:59 on Tuesday 10 April, to have the best chance to guarantee courtside action. Annual subscription to Team Membership is £30 for adults (18 plus) and Lite Members can upgrade for £20 by logging into their Members’ Area.
