Loughborough Students Rugby Football Club is delighted to announce a new and exciting partnership with Phaidon International, who will become the men’s headline sponsor for the 2017/2018 season.
Phaidon International is a specialist, multiple-brand global recruitment group. From its local hubs in Europe, North America, and Asia, Phaidon deliver permanent, contract and project-based recruitment services across the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) landscape.
Phaidon International’s reputation as a highly driven, performance business is frequently proven through high year-on-year growth and prestigious awards such as the Queen’s Award for International Trade 2017. This makes it a perfect match with LSRFC who are always striving to be the best student team in the UK as well as pitting themselves against professional outfits with great success.
Loughborough University has a strong rugby legacy, with over 70 players having made it to an international level and 17 making it into The Lions side over the last few decades. With BUCS Super Rugby glory the obvious target for the 2017/18 season, the side will also hope to perform well in National One, the third tier of professional rugby in the UK.
There is already a strong link between Loughborough and Phaidon, with 90% of their management team starting out as trainees, including Adam Buck (Founder and Executive Chairman), who graduated from Loughborough University.
Of the new partnership Phaidon International’s Marketing Executive Victoria Rush commented:
As an international STEM recruitment group and a highly driven performance-business, we were looking for a university whose values and results mirrored our own as well as our passion for success. What attracted us to Loughborough was the well-known international performance heritage synonymous with the University, and we couldn’t be more excited about the partnership and season to come.
Loughborough Sport’s Commercial Director Jo Simpson added:
We are delighted that Phaidon International are sponsoring our iconic men’s rugby team. This is a great moment for both of our organisations as the opportunities to develop a close partnership aligned by our shared values are massive. The fact that our alumnus, Adam Buck, is back working with Loughborough Sport highlights the exceptional opportunity this represents.
Phaidon International’s Global Marketing Director Gareth Saunders surmised:
We are very happy to join forces with such an iconic university as Loughborough. We are always looking at connecting with the best future talent to join our organisation and what better place to start than with the students at Loughborough University.
