Jess Judd secured an brilliant English National Cross Country title with her win at nearby Woolaton, Park Nottingham.
The 21 year old , whose third place finish in the BUCS Xc championship help LSAC win there first title for 6 years, was in even better form as she held off a strong challenge from Louise Small, to win by three seconds over a muddy 8km course.
Judd’s victory headed a number of very impressive performances Cross Country by current Loughborough students at the weekend. Great runs were also delivered by Richard Horton (9th in England Senior Men over 12,000), Jamie Williamson (3rd in Scottish National Under 20’s race), Patrick Dever 4th and George Duggan 7th in England Under 20 Men’s event, and Abbie Donnelly 5th and Sophie Tarver 8th at the fore of the England Under 20 Women.
There was also a National indoor title for Hannah Brier, who followed by her BUCS indoor 60m title at Sheffield, by taking the British Junior title at the same venue, winning in 7.36 seconds.
