Accommodation at Loughborough University
At Loughborough, we recognise accommodation and nutrition as vital ingredients to your lifestyle as an elite student athlete. Some student athletes chose to live in halls of residence, some chose to live in a shared student house with friends. Student athletes can be found in virtually all our halls of residence, but one block of 32 beds has been specifically identified as the ideal site for elite sports people with easy access to all of the major sporting facilities and support services. This is self-catered to allow student athletes to cook their own nutritious meals around training times, and is offered for longer to allow students to remain in Loughborough out of term time when training and competition may continue.
Athletes in this block are taking their studies and their sport seriously and is generally quieter than some areas of the campus. Accommodation in this block is allocated on Coaches recommendation, on a first come, first served basis.
Due to the training schedules (early starts!) of our fast swimmers, specific accommodation can be allocated to those recommended by our swimming coaches.
