Loughborough University – prides itself on its ability to provide graduates who are highly sought after across many disciplines. The University is able to offer over 100 courses in a wide variety of subjects. It is a common misconception that you need to study sport if you are an elite athlete but you don’t! We have students studying everything from Mechanical Engineering to English and Drama, so take a good look through the whole prospectus to see what is on offer.

Applying for courses at Loughborough University

Application for all higher education courses is through UCAS. The important dates vary each year but applications are normally due in by mid-January before the September you wish to start your course. View further information and exact dates for each year.

Loughborough College – provides a wide range of educational opportunities for students from the age of 14 upwards. Courses offered include Foundation Degrees (with the BSc Top Up year in a range of sport related subjects), A-levels, BTEC / HND and other vocational qualifications and Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence (AASE). Courses have a significant practical element and provide students with the opportunity to improve their own personal sporting performance and/or fitness.

Applying for Courses at Loughborough College

For Further Education Courses, if you are currently studying in Leicestershire and applying before 31st January 2012 then use the Leicestershire Common Application found online at If you live out of Leicestershire or are applying after the 31st January 2012 then please use the Loughborough College application form.

For Higher Education Courses, if you are applying for any full time HE course that has face to face delivery then please use UCAS. If you are applying for the Online Foundation Degree in Sport Science then please use the Loughborough College application form

RNIB College – The RNIB College is a specialist college for people who are visually impaired, partially sighted and / or have other disabilities. It offers further education courses and can offer a wide range of support including on-site accommodation. Visit the RNIB College website.
